Why Choose a Private Tour for 2026?

Keukenhof is more than just a park; it is a masterclass in horticulture. Our private tours are designed for those who want to skip the crowds and find the soul of the Dutch spring.

  • Photography-Focused Guiding: With a passion for garden photography, we don’t just show you the flowers—we lead you to the most photogenic vistas and provide technical tips to capture the perfect bloom.
  • The ‘Tulip Alert’ & Blooming Report: Nature follows its own calendar. We provide our guests with exclusive blooming reports, ensuring you know exactly which fields are at their peak during your visit.
  • Beyond the Gates: While the park is stunning, the true magic lies in the surrounding bulb regions. We take you behind the scenes to the vast flower fields of North and South Holland that most tourists never see.

Planning Your Visit: Essential Information

To ensure a seamless experience, keep these insider tips in mind for the 2026 season:

  • Seamless Entry: Forget the stress of logistics. We manage the timing of your visit to ensure smooth entry, even during peak periods. We do not need to reserve tickets for Keukenhof. We can buy them on the spot and there are seldom queues.
  • Beat the Crowds: While Easter and the Flower Parade (Bloemencorso) are the most popular times, we sometimes recommend late afternoon visits or early morning visits for softer light and a more tranquil atmosphere.
  • An Outdoor Sanctuary: Keukenhof spans 32 hectares of fresh air. While there are stunning indoor pavilions, the majority of the experience is outdoors—perfect for a healthy, spacious stroll.
  • Floral Diversity: Our tours highlight hundreds of varieties of tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils, showcasing the incredible biodiversity of Dutch horticulture.

A Journey Through History

The story of Keukenhof is as rich as its soil. The name dates back to the 15th-century estate of Countess Jacoba van Beieren, where the land served as a “Keukentuin” (Kitchen Garden) for the castle.
In 1857, the park’s landscape was reimagined by Jan David Zocher and his son Louis Paul Zocher—the same architects behind Amsterdam’s Vondelpark. They implemented the English landscape style that still defines the park’s winding paths and surprising vistas today. In 1949, a group of 20 leading bulb growers designated the estate as a permanent spring exhibition, opening to the public in 1950.

The 2026 Highlights: Pavilions & Gardens

Every year, Keukenhof evolves. Your 2026 tour includes access to all five major pavilions—Oranje Nassau, Wilhelmina, Juliana, Beatrix, and Willem-Alexander—where world-class floral designers compete for “Best in Show.”

Beyond the Tulips, you will explore:

  • The Japanese Garden & English Landscape Garden.
  • The Historic Garden, featuring “heirloom” bulbs from centuries past.
  • The Garden Maze and seven unique “Inspirational Gardens.”
  • The Lily Show: If visiting toward the end of the season, you will witness the world’s largest indoor lily exhibition.

Keukenhof Themes

‘Vincent van Gogh’, ‘The Golden Age’, ‘Flower Classics’, ‘Romance in Flowers’, ‘Flower Power’, ‘A World of Colors’ were the central themes of Keukenhof last years.
